Some thoughts about the song:

這首歌，說心與心之間的隔閡，人與人之間的疏遠，更往前延伸或許也能說其中亦代表著種族與種族間的紛亂，國與國之間的戰爭……

歌詞開頭就說得明白，大多時候爭得你死我活，到底又有什麼意義存在？只是讓我們在佈滿焦慮與恐慌的時代裡漸漸的失去了自我，頃刻難安。環境也好，人際也罷，種種的壓力壓得我們喘不過氣來，現實往往讓我們無法自主，使得自尊被放在別人的腳底下踩。走投無路了嗎？是否想找個地方把自己隱藏起來？這些問句在在的表達出現代人共同的絕望心態。

一次又一次的心碎，累積了太多的悲哀，哀大莫於心死。所以這裡所指的《廢墟》不是什麼所在，而是被逼到了角落，荒涼而冷漠的心。《一，又二〸一槍》是種象徵性的說法，代表著惡劣的環境、外來的攻擊與傷害。不是說「唇槍舌劍」？也有句話說：「言論的撻伐能致人於死地。」能傷人的不只是武器，有形之傷易好，無形之傷難瘉，MTV裡不也如此表達嗎？被子彈射的千瘡百孔的房間，像不像千瘡百孔的內心？

都說「人生不如意之事，〸之八九」，所以每個人面臨路之盡頭、人生角落的時刻也不曾少過吧？因為一時失控，不免會產生《讓那些人也付出應有的代價吧》的心思，但復仇的同時，心裡又好過了嗎？不，傷害了別人更是傷害了自己，因為此舉對自己的良心也造成了莫大的損害。或著說，這麼做的同時就已經失落了自己，最初的信念何在？

為了自由、為了成為最真實的自己，所以我與你、你與他彼此傷害。卻不過是為了一已之私，終將使自己陷入萬劫不復的境地。這樣的自由不是真自由；也許達成了外在的自由，卻為自己的心靈上了鐐銬。如此我們變得冷漠、心如鐵石，沒有了柔軟的心腸，又談何真正的寬恕與原諒？由口中說出的話語不過是虛假的謊言，其實內心早就麻木不仁了吧？
